Welcome to Chartier Physiotherapie

We provide home care!

Our dynamic team of physiotherapists provide home care in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood for patients of all ages who may have had recent surgery, have limited mobility, have been in a car accident or are unable to leave their home.

During your first home care appointment, your physiotherapist will complete a comprehensive assessment to determine the root cause of your injury or ailment and the most suitable course of treatment for follow up appointments.  Our physiotherapists use a variety of modalities and techniques and each patient’s treatment is customized to their needs and in order to provide most effective physiotherapy care.

Please note, we are able to direct bill for home care patients.

About the Clinic

We invite you to find out how Nathalie Chartier, Ottawa-based physiotherapist to Cirque du Soleil for six years, can help you on your path to wellness.

Are you looking to transform your physical well-being for the better? Are you living with chronic pain, fatigue, or stress? Trying to make a change, and find you need a partner in your journey toward better health?

The answer might be found closer than you think. Holistic physiotherapist Nathalie Chartier works out of a cozy professional home office located in Ottawa’s Sandy Hill neighbourhood. It is an oasis of calm only minutes away from the downtown core. She works with a team of professionals including another physiotherapist and registered massage therapists.

Clients come to Chartier Physiotherapie for help with a variety of conditions, from acute pain or chronic condition, due to a series of injuries or maladaptive physical patterns. Practitioners work with athletes as well, from recreational to the elite-level.

During one-on-one sessions, our practitioners take the time to listen to your history, investigate the roots of your problem(s), and work with you to determine whether a solution can be found in exercise, strategic lifestyle changes, and/or a combination of treatments. With a team approach, we refer you to other practitioners for a holistic and multi-faceted approach.

The techniques used include manual therapy, muscular and myofascial release, postural education, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, strengthening and flexibility exercises, Yoga, Pilates, breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as joint mobilization.

Our team of registered massage therapists also offer a broad range of healing techniques.

Our clients range in age from newborns to ninety nine years of age. We also specialize in pre- and post-natal physiotherapy and massage therapy treatments so our youngest clients are even younger than newborns!

Nathalie’s philosophy as a therapist is comprised of three parts: Empowerment through Understanding; Prevention is Better than a Cure; and, Balance in all Systems is Essential.

Nathalie is sought after for public engagements, delivering talks for government departments and at conferences. She also delivers workshops on various health and injury conditions.
